ABOUT

With a focus on continuing education, a professional staff, and new technology, the practice under Dr. Henderson’s direction and Dr. DeBottis’ collaboration flourishes while upholding a high standard of dedicated patient care.  Their high interest in continuing education brings advanced dental techniques and equipment to this office for an optimal patient experience.  This allows for Dr. Henderson and Dr. DeBottis treat patients needing restorative treatment, cosmetic enhancements, orthodontic care, sleep apnea therapy, laser dentistry, oral surgery, root canals, periodontal hygiene, and implant placement.  The practice is proud of our professional hygiene, assisting, and business office teams that focus on compassion, listening to and answering patients’ questions and helping them have an excellent dental experience.

PRACTICE HISTORY

With a vision for a dental practice that would offer a welcoming atmosphere utilizing state-of-the-art technology, Dr. Gregory W. Mohr, DDS accomplished his dream when he built this practice in 2003.  The Adirondack lodge style in the office he created welcomes patients into a serene setting unlike any other dental office with a focus on cutting edge treatment in a tranquil, patient-friendly environment.

In May of 2010, with a need to hire an associate for his practice, Dr. Mohr hired Dr. Jason D. Henderson, DDS as his full-time associate.  Originally from Michigan, Dr. Henderson moved to Buffalo, New York in May of 2004 to attend dental school at the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine.  After graduating in 2008 and completing his Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the Eastman Institute of Oral Health in Rochester, Dr. Henderson knew he wanted to be part of a practice with a distinct reputation for quality patient care, while establishing roots for his family in Central New York.

After serving as Dr. Mohr’s associate for five years, Dr. Henderson purchased the practice from Dr. Mohr in February of 2015, understanding the practice mission of building relationships through comfort, service, and technology.  It was Dr. Henderson’s desire to continue Dr. Mohr’s practice vision, while building and investing in it for the future as well.

In autumn of 2017, Dr. Mohr announced his retirement after practicing dentistry for over 30 years.  In preparation for Dr. Mohr’s departure, Dr. Jeremy DeBottis, DDS was hired as a welcome addition as the practice dental associate in August of 2017.  Dr. Henderson went to dental school with Dr. DeBottis from dental school, who graduated one year prior in 2007.  Knowing his passion for dentistry, similar clinical background, and congruent practice philosophies, Dr. Henderson eagerly hired Dr. DeBottis to join in his practice vision.

Jason Henderson

JASON D. HENDERSON, DDS, P.C.

Owner/Dentist

Dr. Jason Henderson is originally from Brighton, Michigan and received his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Michigan. After completing his undergraduate education, Jason received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (DDS) from the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. After his completion of dental school, Dr. Henderson pursued further education in the Advanced Education in General Dentistry program through Eastman Institute for Oral Health at the University of Rochester. Dr. Henderson is a member of the American Dental Association, and the Fifth District Dental Society, and the Onondaga County Dental Society.

Dr. Henderson and his wife Heather currently live in Onondaga Hill. In his free time, Dr.Henderson enjoys football, hockey, music, movies, the outdoors, and spending time with friends and family.

Derek

Derek

Dental Assistant

Derek was born and raised here in Syracuse and now resides in Cicero. Derek graduated from Liverpool HS and attended Mohawk Valley Community College. He completed the Dental Assisting Program from OCM BOCES in August 2010.

Derek finds all parts of dentistry exciting and enjoyable. He loves helping patients and friends with improving their oral health.

In his free time Derek loves to bowl, travel for bowling, softball, and golf.

Violeta

Dental Assistant

Violeta has been in dentistry since 1992. She has been working with Dr. Mohr since 2003. Her favorite is designing CEREC crowns and enjoys helping patients to feel comfortable in the office.

Violeta enjoys spending time with family, friends, her children and her husband Jim.

Brooke

Brooke

RDA, Business Office Manager

Brooke lives in Jamesville with her husband, 2 sons, and 2 dogs. She attended BOCES for Dental Assisting and graduated in 2016. Brooke started with our practice during her internship for the Dental Assisting program and in 2019 became the Business Office Manager. She is a member of the American Association of Dental Office Managers, AADOM, and in September 2020 earned her Fellowship.

Brooke and her family are very active with her son’s football and wrestling teams. During off season they enjoy gardening, hiking, traveling, golfing, movies, and camping.

Registered Dental Hygienist

Jessica was born and raised in Syracuse, NY. Local East Syracuse-Minoa graduate and dental education from Onondaga Community College. Jessica has over two decades of experience as a Dental Hygienist.

Grateful to be a part of the best dental team in the area. Having the technology and support within this amazing office makes work enjoyable. It is very rewarding being a Dental Hygienist. We are consistently helping, learning, and growing. Most rewarding is when patients leave happier, healthier, and more at ease.

When not at work Jessica takes pride in watching her two sons grow into men. Camping, concerts, nature hikes, dogs, and time with friends and family are most important in life.

Bethany

Registered Dental Hygienist

Bethany graduated from SUNY Canton with her Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene in 2013. She also has her Associated Degree in Math and Science. She has been a part of our dental family for 8 years.

Bethany loves to get to know her patients while helping improve their oral health. In her time outside of the office she enjoys spending time with her husband John, son JJ, and their many animals.

Christine

Registered Dental Hygienist

Christine is originally from Oswego, NY, she received her Bachelor’s degree in chemistry from SUNY Oswego.  Her passion for the dental field led her to attend Monroe Community College for her AAS degree in Dental Hygiene.  She enjoys the high level of professionalism of our office staff and working with some of the best technology provided in the dental field.  Christine feels that the resources here enable her to provide the best patient care.

Outside of the workplace, Christine enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, Frank, twin daughters Amelia and Luciana, and her two dogs, Coco and Duncan.  She likes to run, hike and do agility with Coco.

Maureen

Finance Specialist

Maureen was born and raised in Syracuse and now resides in Tully, NY with her husband and 7 furbabies.

She has over 20 years’ experience in Accounting and Customer Service-enjoying both the analytical aspects of accounting, as well as working one-on-one with patients to help them obtain the best care possible with a well-informed understanding of their financial obligations.

In her spare time, Maureen enjoys volunteering with her dog, Maxx, as a Therapy Team through Pet Partners of CNY- visiting area hospitals and schools, gardening and baking.

DeBottis

JEREMY D. DEBOTTIS, DDS

Associate Dentist

Dr. DeBottis was born in Syracuse and graduated from West Genesee. He attended St. Lawrence University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Biology, and then received his DDS from the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in 2007, where he was a fellow classmate of Dr. Henderson. Following dental school, Jeremy completed a General Practice Residency at St. Clare’s Hospital in Schenectady, NY. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Fifth District Dental Society, and the Onondaga County Dental Society.

Dr. DeBottis and his wife Robyn currently live in Camillus with their two sons. His nearly endless list of hobbies includes exercise, reading, overly discussing sports, and writing.

ARIEL

Treatment Coordinator

Ariel grew up in Lafayette. She graduated in 2013 from Cayuga College with an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice. She has previously worked in Insurance and Customer Service. Ariel lived in Nashville for 4 years and during that time she worked as a Dispatch for Police and Fire.

When she is not watching her 2 kids play sports or do outdoor activities, she serves as a Fire Captain in her local fire department where she joined as a Junior 16 years ago.

BREANNA

Registered Dental Hygienist

Breanna is originally from Central NY. She received her Associates Degree in General Studies with avScience background at Erie Community College. She then decided to join the Dental Hygiene program at Erie Community College.

After her Dental Hygiene degree, she moved back to the area looking for a job that would best suit her moral standard of care. After finding the office she knew that she would be able to give the quality of care she thought her patients deserved.

Outside of work Breanna enjoys being outdoors hiking, skiing, and running. She loves spending time with her Husband Alex, their English Springer Spaniel Porter, and family.

JENNIFER

Registered Dental Hygienist

Jennifer has been a Dental Hygienist since 1993. Her passion for oral health was propelled by her father, a General Dentist, and mother, a Dental Hygienist. Establishing rapport with patients is the foundation to providing exceptional dental care and enthusiasm from patients grateful to be in control of their own dental health outside of the office.

When not in the office, Jennifer enjoys time spent with her husband and 2 daughters. She is an avid runner and practices martial arts.

OLIVIA

Dental Assistant

Olivia attended the BOCES program for Dental Assisting and fell in love with the field. She completed her internship with our office and has been here ever since. Olivia loves to learn and is continuously taking classes and doing independent learning outside of the office so she can bring the best to our patients. She is passionate about giving top-tier care to all patients.

Outside of the office she loves anything outdoors, music, and spending time with family and friends.

Hospitality Specialist

I have been in the medical field for some time now, but working here is my first experience in the dental profession. Having previous experience helped in the transition, and I feel I have been able to use my previous experiences and apply them to my position with this office. Everyday I’m able to dive in a little deeper into a conversation with patients just because I am learning that much more about it.

I recently married my best friend and we live with our 2 dogs, 2 cats, with a baby on the way! I moved to the Syracuse area 15 years ago. My passions include gardening, swimming in Easton Brook, pestering my Husband, reading, and playing video games

I am Ellexis and I am a Receptionist for Dr. Jason Henderson. I assist patients with checking out, scheduling, and ensuring insurance information is accurate as possible for speedy processing.

I have a Bachelor of Science in Human Services with a minor in Psychology.  I am passionate about helping others to reach their goals, whatever they may be.  I am an avid reader, crocheter, and love outdoor activities – especially disc golf.  My Husband, Mitch, and I also love to travel near and far.
